The Brief
STAHS wanted a standout film that reflected their high-achieving, all-girls environment without falling into the clichés of traditional school promos. With strong academic results and excellent facilities, they weren’t looking to boost admissions – they wanted to consolidate their position as one of the area’s leading schools. Crucially, the film had to feel authentic, personal and anything but generic.

Our Creative Solution
We developed a concept with energy at its core: a wordless, music-led journey through the school, driven by a powerful track performed by the school’s own band. Using advanced camera techniques and a fast-paced shoot schedule, we captured the full student journey – from junior to senior – through dynamic visuals and natural, unscripted action, all culminating in a performance from the STAHS musicians.

The Result
STAHS were thrilled. The final film struck exactly the right chord, capturing the energy, individuality and vibrancy of the school in a way that felt truly their own. It exceeded expectations, stood apart from other school films, and reaffirmed their place at the top. The senior leadership team praised our understanding of the brief and the quality of execution.
When we first met with Small Films I told George and his team that I found most school films dreadfully boring, and wanted something with real energy, focusing on our girls at their very best, doing what they love and having tons of fun. What they delivered absolutely captures the vibrance, energy and feel of this wonderful school.
